Crazy Tanks App Review

Crazy Tanks is one of those apps that maximizes what an iphone or itouch can do.  It’s a tilting, tapping, blow-them-up type of game that frustrates and engages at the same time.  Each bomb shot by a tank ricochets off of walls, pillars and anything else it comes in touch with until it blows up.  That means you shoot yourself sometime and you can play angles to blow up the enemy tanks and weaponry.  Crazy Tanks has fun colors and great animation and is priced at $1.99.

The reason we enjoy Crazy Tanks is the speed of progress.  Before you know it you are finding new challenges and the number of enemy tanks or enemy weapons increases so nicely with each new level that there is constant challenge.  “Just one more level” is what you’ll be telling yourself over and over and over when you add Crazy Tanks to your app library.

One frustration is getting used to all the tilting to turn and move because of the sensitive nature of the apps reflexes.  The slightest tilting will move your tank so you quickly get overly cautious while playing which typically takes you out of your element enough to keep the game extremely competitive (you vs. the computer is really fun when you add all the tilting).  The radar with enemy location is located on the bottom right of the screen and hunting down those red dots is scary, exciting and engaging all at the same time. You’ll enjoy Crazy Tanks if you don’t mind a fully engaging action game with a little skill to keep it interesting.  Price: $1.99
