Flight Control App Review

Flight Control is an iPhone / iTouch app by the development group at FireMint.com and is still a personal favorite.  The addiction factor is high on Flight Control because by the time you’ve made progress in the air field you end up crashing two planes and wanting to prove to yourself that you can do better.  Trust me, it gets really frustratingly awesome (I don’t think there are other words that adequately describe my feelings).

Your objective in playing Flight Control is to direct all the aircrafts that appear on your screen to the appropriate landing strip.  You guide them using your fingers to first tap the plane, jumbo jet or helicopter you want to guide, then dragging your finger across the appropriate flight path to a safe landing.  It sounds easy until the helicopter crosses paths with the jumbo jet which is trying to land at the same time as the plane…it’s quite scary.

Some fun things about Flight Control include the different speed levels you can operate under (normal or fast by tapping the arrow in the bottom left of your screen) and the varying aircrafts (helicopter = slow, plane = average, jumbo jet = fast).  It’s fun, the sound effects are fun (or you can just listen to your ipod while playing) and it’s $.99.  We think you’ll enjoy it.
