Backflip Studios has made quite possibly the best physics game on the iphone in the Ragdoll Blaster app. The goal is to shoot your ragdoll at the target and try to use as few ragdolls as possible. You move from level to level trying to figure out how to get your ragdoll to hit the target and the app keeps track of how many ragdolls were required. Did I mention you blast them from a canon? It’s hilariously entertaining to watch the ragdolls hit walls, pile up and slide around various obstacles when you just want one to hit the target. Sometimes the target moves, sometimes you have to get the target in the right position and sometimes you just turn off the app because you can’t stand it anymore. Full App Review >>

Crazy Tanks is one of those apps that maximizes what an iphone or itouch can do. It’s a tilting, tapping, blow-them-up type of game that frustrates and engages at the same time. Each bomb shot by a tank ricochets off of walls, pillars and anything else it comes in touch with until it blows up. Zombieville USA is any zombie killers favorite storyline come true. Walk around killing zombies in creative and gruesome ways such as beating them with a bat, burning them with a flame-thrower, shooting them with a variety of guns or just chopping them with a chainsaw. The cartoon nature of Zombieville USA makes it a fun game and the various levels, weapon upgrade opportunities and frustrating nature of zombies-in-volume, make Zombieville USA a great app to add. With the 2010 Olympics underway it’s time to review the NBC Olympics app, appropriately called NBC Olympics. Powered by AT&T and MobiTV, the Vancouver 2010 Olympic games are right at your fingertips. First off, the Olympics app is divided into 5 main sections: Now, Sports, Favorites, Social and Schedules. When you first download the app to your iphone or itouch you are reminded that it’s build for use in the USA and the video, updates and pushes aren’t going to work anywhere else (at least not as well as they are supposed to). Shazam is a music app that makes having to recognize or remember a song you heard on the radio, at the club, in the elevator, at an office, in the mall or anywhere else a thing of the past. Simply open the Shazam app and push the tag button at the top right of the app and let Shazam do the rest. Shazam will listen to the song being played for a few seconds and then come back with the artist, album, track, history and links to purchase and download the song to your itunes library (or wherever you get and keep your music). Flight Control is an iPhone / iTouch app by the development group at FireMint.com and is still a personal favorite. The addiction factor is high on Flight Control because by the time you’ve made progress in the air field you end up crashing two planes and wanting to prove to yourself that you can do better. Shopping Cart Hero is so much fun and easy to play that you can’t help but want to take one more jump over and over again. The premise is simple, you have a shopping cart and you are at the top of a hill. Push your cart down the hill, jump in and off you go into the air. The goal is to maintain some kind of balance so you are in a position to land and slide to accrue points and earn money. With each jump you are scored on a combination of distance, style, height and tricks which starts to get really fun after jump 20 or 30 because you can buy some pretty cool upgrades. iPhone Roulette is a game that keeps calling for me to come play again and again and again. Just like at the casino, Roulette TWC for the iPhone is hard to walk away from, especially after 4 or 5 reds in a row. Starting with $2,000 and trying to win it big, Roulette TWC is a fun, basic Roulette game for the iPhone or iTouch. You have complete control of the entire table and you can bet with $1, $5, $25 or $100. There is a table limit but you won’t be hitting it anytime soon.
